Description Newly constructed Construction & Demolition Waste Landfill for sale (C&D) with 250,000 cubic yard capacity and approved for operation by the Department of Natural Resources of WI. Estimated life of this landfill is between 20-30 years with additional revenue potential on the 77 acre parcel from non-metallic mining (estimates of 1-1.5 million cubic yards of above ground sand) and recycling of C&D materials (aluminum siding,shingles, drywall, wood, metals and concrete). It is estimated that the landfill could process up to 1.25 million cubic yards of C&D materials at their pre-compacted state generating up to $12.5 million in revenue.
Phase One construction of the landfill was completed in December of 2008 and included the initial site work and leachate tank for phases II-IV. The majority of the materials needed to construct Phases II-IV and for final closure have been contracted for or are on site to minimize future costs. Additional land is available for a transfer station and recycling center. This one of four Intermediate sized C&D landfills in WI due to the difficulty and time that it takes to obtain approval and license for its operation (up to four years).
