Solar Anchor Light
The present invention relates to illuminating devices, and more particularly pertains to a solar anchor light housing for use in-conjunction with in-ground pool anchors and solar powered lights.
The invention may be inserted into deck anchors used to retain pool covers. The solar anchor light
housing typically has a hollow cylindrical or rectangular body, having a first end and second end, a solar powered light is inserted in to the first end of the hollow cylindrical or rectangular body. The height of the solar light may vary and the circumference of the solar light may vary. The the size of the solar light being used will determine the shape/size of the housing required. The second end of the Solar anchor light housing is inserted into a in-ground pool anchor.
The solar anchor light when used may illuminate the area, provide an aesthetically pleasing appearance, minimize or prevent personal injury or damage to the anchor.
One aspect of the invention is a solar powered light/lamp inserted into a housing adapted to be inserted into a masonry anchor. The invention includes a hollow housing having a first end and a second end; and a solar light/lamp is inserted into the first end of the housing. In one aspect, the housing maybe but is not limited to a hollow cylindrical housing with at least one surface projection adapted to engage the inside surface of an anchor to ensure a snug fit. In another aspect the solar light/lamp and housing may be sealed together disallowing removal of the light from the housing. According to aspects of the invention, the Solar Anchor Light may illuminate, minimize or prevent personal injuries, minimize or prevent damage to the anchor, conceal the anchor, and/or distinguish the perimeter of the pool from the surrounding deck and/or yard in low
